Get to know our steering committee

Our steering committee is made up of local leaders and passionate community members dedicated to fostering community engagement and participation. In keeping with the important work of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario in trying to address the strain on local democracies across Ontario, we want to help encourage people from all walks of life to get more involved in our community. Together, we guide the vision of the HHHDP, plan and host events, and create opportunities for residents to get involved and make a meaningful impact.

    Political nerd, with 15+ years experience in campaigns, public affairs, and strategic communications in the non-profit and public sectors.

  • Carol Moffatt

    Community volunteer and collaborator; award-winning heritage champion; 16 years on local Council including 12 years as Mayor and two terms as County Warden. 

  • Sean Pennylegion

    A retired professional from Haliburton Forest, now focused on a full and rewarding volunteer schedule in a variety of community initiatives.
